As soon as you enter through the iconic door at Hilmy Cellars, you enter a very special place. Our architecture is rustic, and our walls are adorned with artwork by local artists. Our outdoor patio offers stunning views of the vineyard.
Our staff is knowledgeable about wines by region and varietal. Each tasting is $25 and includes tasting 5 of our wines. Reservations are recommended for Saturdays. Make yours today!

Hilmy Cellars is located on US Highway 290 between Fredericksburg & Stonewall, TX, with our official address being 12346 E US Hwy 290, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.
While there are many ways to get to us, here’s the route we usually take when traveling from the cities nearby:
From SAN ANTONIO:
- Head west on Hwy 10.
- Exit 537, curve right then forward to FM 1376 (Sisterdale Rd).
- Turn left onto 1376. Pass Sisterdale.
- Pass Luckenbach.
- Turn right at dead-end (Hwy 290).
- Look for Hilmy Cellars signs.
We’re on the left.
From AUSTIN:
- Head west on Hwy 290 through Dripping Springs and beyond.
- Turn right at the intersection of 281/290 to stay on 290 West.
- Turn left in Johnson City to stay on 290 West.
- Pass through Johnson City. Pass Hye. Pass Stonewall.
- Look for Hilmy Cellars signs.
